This painting, “Sea Mates” has a special place in my heart because it was this particular painting which led me down the road to ocean conservation. As a fine artist, I’ve literally painted hundreds of images of rain forest and ocean reef animals during my art career. However, this one image began my ocean conservation voice as a tropical painter. The horrific devastation due to the result and damage to our oceans in the “BP Deepwater Horizon” oil spill in April of 2010, changed my life as an artist forever. In honor of our amazing oceans and to life and love itself, I will donate 50% of all sales during this promotion of the “Sea Mates” prints as my personal gift to ocean conservation organizations.
